There are two primary boards that direct the government of Emmett Township. Both are open to the public.
The Trustee Board is the primary controlling function of your township. This board sets the budget, passes resolutions and allocates funds. It consists of the Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer and two Trustees.

The Planning Board charts the plans for the township. It determines where commercial areas are/will be, it advises the Trustee Board and hears matters concerning ordinances and variances.
The Parks Committee advises the Trustee Board in matters concerning township parks and related events.
